Order Calling for Bond Election
Cypress Hill Municipal Utility District No. 1 Bond Election
On August 17, 2018 the Board of Directors of Cypress Hill Municipal Utility District No. 1 (the “District”) called a bond election for November 6, 2018. Please click below to view the entire Order.
The Federal Voting Rights Act requires us to translate our election materials into Spanish, Vietnamese and Traditional Chinese. Translations of the Order may be viewed by clicking on the appropriate button.

Updated Board Meeting Location and Date/Time
The location of the District Board meetings has been moved to the Sydney Harbour Clubhouse, 18115 Harbour Bridge Point Dr., Cypress, TX 77429. Regular board meetings will generally be held on the third Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m., and are open to the public. The Board welcomes and encourages District residents to attend. Check the Meetings page for upcoming meeting.

Maintaining and Improving Our Facilities for the Future and Providing for Continued Growth of the District

- Construction of the District’s facilities began in the late 1980’s.
- The useful life of these facilities is as follows:
- Water Distribution/Sanitary Sewer Collection Lines –40 years
- Water Plant/Wastewater Treatment Facilities -20-30 years
- Repairs and maintenance are done on a critical need basis
- Less cost effective/li>
- Inadvertent and unplanned service interruptions
- Carefully planned replacement/rehabilitation and improvement
- More efficient use of the District’s capital resources
- Helps avoid unnecessary service interruptions
- Need to finance additional water and sewer facilities to serve development and growth in the District.
Order Calling Bond Election- Amended
Order Amending Order Calling Bond Election was duly introduced for the consideration of the Board and read in full. It was then duly moved and seconded that such Order be adopted; and, after due discussion, such motion, carrying with it the adoption of such Order, prevailed and carried by the following votes:

Notice is hereby given that an election will be held in and for Cypress Hill Municipal Utility District No. 1 (the “District”) between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on May 5, 2018, at the following polling place: Sydney Harbour Clubhouse, 18115 Harbour Bridge Point Drive, Cypress, Texas 77429.
